No really, the film looks beautiful, but come on now, Pixar!  That dead horse was good and beaten by the time Titanic came out, no need to dredge up anachronistic narrative tropes.

I’m all for compelling female leads, but when you go for the cheap tropes, it undermines that. If you’re pitching sometging as origial and fresh, you have to follow through on all fronts, even the little details like this.

Meanwhile, however, as a filmmaker.  You need certain scenes to build up on your dialogue and, although I admit looking back now that they really could be using something better…. don’t you think its a pointless little detail you guys are looking at here?

Because lets face it.  There’s this thing called character design and this other thing called artistic license.  These are the two things that make the viewer superbly interested into what your doing is HOW you get it done and to be able to use your better judgement and your artistic eye to iron out the kinks that don’t look good.

Yes, this can lead to historical inaccuracies and the like but you have to think logically here and that is the simple fact that not every single little thing in a film is going to be perfect.  Heck I see so many more films out and about that are sequels and remakes of things… This is damn well better than half the stuff I see coming in theaters.  But then most animated film is.

I would also like to point out that, being one of those people who run up to point in all of the tiny details that are wrong in a film doesn’t make you a better person.  Yes congrats you found the BIGGEST PROBLEM… but no you didn’t.

It sucks to see that people have no respect for anything anymore and the actual TIME and EFFORT people put into big things like this and it’s just so so wrong.  So wrong.  Because to take something like a novel or a film and to simply say ‘it sucks’ or ‘come on guys how did you not see that?’ is quite rude.  Because no, okay.  Maybe they did not see it and perhaps instead of writing to the people on your blog and getting them all riled up to hating something you should be writing to the creators themselves (because believe it or not they might actually hear you that way) and tell them your concerns because they just might not see it.

Or for all we know we’re all being trolled and they’ll get a good laugh off the fact that you noticed a hidden joke they have with their female mains.

That would be rather funny.

ALL IN ALL THOUGH.

It’s just another message to say lighten up and one-up them with your own thing instead of finding things to rant and rave about pointlessly like this.

You shouldn’t even be aware of spoilers like this, the film comes out in June ffs.

Anyways.  I’ve said my part.  I’ll await my inbox of angry anons for having a different opinion now.
